The 70-300 AF-P FX lens will give you more reach than the 24-200 is optically quite good is light weight, balancing well on Z bodies with the FTZ and is quite reasonably priced.
You already have the 24-85 mm range covered with the 24-70 f4 lens and several Z mount primes. The Sigma 150-600mm F5-6.3 DG OS HSM C (Contemporary) is an ideal lens for an amateur photographer (or even a pro) on a budget. If you decide not to get the Sigma lens or the Nikon 200-500, I think you might want to consider the Nikon 70-300 AF-P FX lens rather than the 24-200 Z mount lens. They are, however, above the price range you mention. The 'Which is better' question is frequently being aimed at the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM Contemporary Lens and the Tamron 150-600mm f/5-6. I prefer the smaller and lighter PF lenses on the Z bodies when I want more reach. My only issue with it on Z bodies is the weight and balance. The 200-500 mm lens is a very good lens, especially for the price.

Anyone using this lens on the Nikon Z7? I have the Z7 but I wish to purchase a longer lens like the Sigma 150-600mm f/5-6.3 that is priced at about $900.00.
